The mission of I.Y.L. is to connect young adults with individualized plans, 24/7 contact center, and tools in order to equip them with a healthy lifestyle backed by financial resources of a shared community.
The purpose of this organization is to provide young adults (ages 18-34) with health insurance which is specifically designed and created with them in mind.

Meet Our Team Leaders
Whitney Thornton
Co-Founder, Co-CEO
Ms. Whitney D. Thornton, Co- CEO was born and raised in Albany, Ga. Whitney attended Sherwood Christian Academy. In 2012, Whitney graduated from Sherwood Christian Academy with a 4.0 GPA and had the honor of being her class’s valedictorian. She now attends her mother’s alma mater, Georgia Southern University, where she is seeking a bachelor’s of science degree in public health. She has excelled in her program of study by becoming the President of Eta Sigma Gamma Public Health Society, a Student Writing Fellow for the college of public health, and a Conversations with Professors assistant. She also led a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.


Michaela Camp
Co-Founder, Co-CEO
Ms. Michaela Rashida Camp, Co-CEO, was born and raised in Aiken, SC. Michaela attended South Aiken High School. In 2012, Michaela graduated cum laude from South Aiken. She currently attends Georgia Southern University, where she is seeking a bachelor’s of science degree in public health. She is a proud member of Eta Sigma Gamma Public Health Society and various honor societies. Outside of her major, Michaela is involved in various campus organizations, such as NAACP and Black Student Nursing Association, where she served as the Treasurer. In her spare time, Michaela enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Mark Cabin
Health Educator
Mark Cabin is a graduate from Georgia Southern University. He achieved his Masters in Public Health in 2012.

Pamela Brookes received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 2008.
